From the back cover

Panda taps his drum. Luna shakes her seeds. The music circle is full and fast. Slow, steady Tilly the tortoise cannot find a way in. Then Luna notices. “Make a space. Share the song.” Soon a slower song begins: “Tap went Tilly’s stick. Boom went Panda’s drum. Shake went Luna’s seeds.”

About this book

The kind part of this story is how ordinary the problem is. Panda, Luna, and Button are having fun, and Tilly’s quiet “Wait for me” gets lost under the drum. When Luna sees her, she says sorry, and the friends change the game instead of just squeezing her in: Panda asks Tilly how they should begin.

It suits classrooms, playgroups, and families with kids of different ages and speeds. Tap out the slow new song together, and talk about how Luna had to slow her own shakers down.
