Back cover of Luna Tells the Truth

From the back cover

Luna’s fluffy tail dips into the blue paint. Swish! A blue streak crosses the paper. She hides it with a basket. Then she takes one slow breath and tells Panda what really happened. “Tell it true. Make it right.” Soon the streak is a sparkling pond, and Luna feels light enough to wag.

About this book

Luna’s first move is to hide the mess. The book stays with her through the hard part: the tight stomach, the words that won’t come, the almost-excuse. When she does tell, Panda’s first words are “Thank you for telling me.”

It is a calm book to read after a real mistake, once everyone has cooled down. Talk about where Luna felt it in her body, and what she and Panda did with the blue streak instead of throwing the picture away.
