From the back cover

Luna makes Panda a promise: all three seedling beds will get a drink. But here comes a yellow butterfly, and off she goes! Two beds are left dry. “What could you do now?” asks Debra the barn owl. “Remember. Return. Finish with care.” And Luna does, one gentle pail at a time.

About this book

Getting distracted isn’t the villain here. Luna follows the butterfly past the mint, the marigolds, and a sleepy frog, and the book lets that be fun. The turning point is quiet: two beds of pale, dry soil, and Luna’s whispered “I forgot.”

Read it with a child who is starting to take on small jobs. Notice that Luna tells Panda the whole story, butterfly included, and that his answer is “Thank you for finishing.” Then ask what job your child could finish today.
